Always An Artist - Week 4
A full month of creative tasks

As January draws to a close, I'm going to try and summarise the month, as well as this week's activities.
I finally finished reading the play I started last week, and I started making a mood board for it. It's still very much a work in progress, but there's some interesting pieces floating around - one of which inspired the header image for this blog post.
I learnt another dance from the Red Wall Tutorials series, and it still feels very vulnerable to share those outcomes. This time I did Latin fusion, and I really enjoyed it. It was a healthy reminder that when you try something new, it's never perfect the first time. I think I gave a reasonably good performance, but the details were not refined. There were arm movements that were clearly almost instinct to the instructors, but I couldn't figure them out for love nor money.
I also started writing a script for a half term workshop I'm leading later on in February. It was very soothing, and I'm having fun finding inspiration from current popular books in the group's age range.
Looking back on the whole month, I'm really proud that I've made creating art a priority. A friend asked me last week if the challenge was achieving what I wanted it to, and the answer is yes. In the next month, I actually have a creative deadline, so a lot of these tasks will likely contribute to that. I'm excited for this to be more integrated into my work.
