I am a theatre-maker, working with care and craft to make live performances that promote empathy and connection.

My primary discipline is directing, and I am an experienced Assistant Director, as well as building my own portfolio of productions. I work regularly in new writing, contributing as a dramaturg and a writer.

 

I also have a movement background, and work as a Choreographer and Movement Director. I love combining art forms, which has recently included opera and dance-theatre. As an opera maker, in the past I have taken stage management and surtitling responsibilities. This wide range of experience is exemplary of my collaborative approach to theatre-making.

Subjects which often crop up in my work include comedy and joy, historical themes, rural communities, and place as a facet of identity.
